Advantage Our Insulation

Disadvantages Of Overdeck Insulation Versus Sunsheetal™ -

Materials : Spray Polyurethane Foam, Extruded Polystyrene, Polyurethane/PIR SLAB, Expanded Polystyrene, Brick bat Coba, Tar Felt / APP Membrane, Mud Phuska, etc.

Impose Dead Load: This system puts unnecessary dead load on the structure.

Cracks Up: This system cracks up due to temperature variation and movements due to thermal stresses. Once cracks appear, water travels below the system and leakage starts. It is very difficult to trace the inlet point and repair it. ( Applicable to Brick bat Coba, Tar Felt / APP Membrane, Mud Phuska, etc.)

Difficult to Dismantle: Some parts of the system stick so well to the concrete that an attempt to dismantle the system may damage the slab.

Do not have a long life and require frequent maintenance – (Applicable only to Tar Felt / APP Membrane, Mud Phuska)

Do do not suit the complicated site dynamics of today's construction and mostly do not offer insulation values to comply with modern Building and Construction norms.

Tedious installation procedures requiring great care and discipline and required to be incorporated during construction or major renovation.

Efficiency and costs fully dependant on the right calculations and choice of materials.

    Does not aid waterproofing.

Disadvantages Of Underdeck Insulation Versus SunSheetal™ -

Materials : Rockwool Slabs/Rolls, PIR/Polyurethane Foam, Extruded Polystyrene, etc.

Roof slab is subject stress due to change in temperature differences in the ambient temperatures resulting in thermal shock. This translates to deterioration of roof slab and the waterproofing.

Acts as a secondary defense since heat has already entered in the building envelope and absorbed by the roof.

Interference with false ceiling and HVAC system.

Added discomfort and Loss of energy costs as some heat is always enclosed in the envelope between the roof and insulation layer.

Tedious installation procedures requiring great care and discipline and required to be incorporated during construction or major renovation.

Efficiency and costs fully dependant on the right calculations and choice of materials.

Most materials are not environment friendly.

Does not have advantage of roof protection against algae/fungus/moss formation.

SunSheetal™ Contributes to the social objective of Protection of Environment by Means of Reducing the "Heat Island Effect" Which is not the case with any insulation.
